On Tuesday 30th March Unmind’s CEO and Co-Founder Dr Nick Taylor moderated a panel discussion as part of the National HR Directors Summit in Australia. The virtual session was framed around the topic ‘The CHRO’s role in mental health and employee wellbeing strategies’. It was a highly engaging conversation with lots of thought-provoking ideas being shared among the panellists.
Even though the four speakers came from different organisational backgrounds, they all agreed that now more than ever employers have a responsibility to look after their people both inside and outside of the working environment – those boundaries are more blurred than ever.

The key points covered are outlined below. As you will see the panel proved the powerful role the chief human resources officer (CHRO) can play in driving and leading evidence-based workplace mental health strategies.

  • Strategic and evidence-based approaches to staff wellbeing.
  • How to help employees to manage their anxiety.
  • Practical case studies of successful mental health campaigns.
  • The role of the c-suite in driving mental health campaigns.
  • Executive mental health: how CHROs can support the CEO and executive team.
  • Remote approaches to wellbeing such as apps, webinars and support forums.
